Just heard this from National Journal. (It's very expensive. I don't subscribe but get their newsletter.) From what I hear, Obama would clean his clock. http://nationaljournal.com/pubs/hotline/

Ditka, while being revered by some hardcore Bears fans, was forced out of his job with the Bears because he wasn't getting it done. And even more importantly, he spends most of his time in New Orleans where he operates several business ventures.
His canidacy would be a joke from start to finish. He poses zero threat whatsoever.

10. I don't think it's too serious |
|
As posted above, his wife said she'd divorce him if he ran. Plus, I think he has more skeletons than Jack Ryan had.

11. Sure he has tons of skeletons |
|
but none of them would be unexpected.
I think he's the only chance ILGOP has, but that Obama will still win handily.

15. I can't help but think of SNL |
|
skits. And from years ago, that fuckwad Jim MacMahon. GOD I hated that asshole.
I read a Rolling Stone interview with him years ago where told about his prank he pulled in high school or junior high.
He used to wait outside the school gate for some handicapped kid, and would lock the gates so the kid couldn't get out, and would have to take his wheelchair around a auper long way on the other side of the school or something.
Like player, like coach.

17. What's not to like 'bout Jimmy Mac ? |
|
Just wonderin'.
One of my favorite stories is from when Jim was with the Eagles and he'd sub for that genuine dickwad Randall Cunningham. Jimmy had two real bad knees and he wore these huge knee braces and he walked around like a guy on stilts. But he was determined and tough as hell, and--in his old age--he was about 10 times more accurate that leaping Randall.
When I asked Buddy Ryan about playing Jimmy on such bad knees (Buddy's a friend), he says: "Yeah, Jimmy may wobble. But he don't fall down." One of the great lines of all time.
