As sinister as this line sounds, the aristocratic banter that passed between them was that of two French Marquis at a 1780 Suaree.

Buckley said it, not tongue in cheek, but quiter matter-of-factly. Naturally, it was a "Fair Und Balanced" panel with one Democrat and Three Rethugs, counting Timmy, of course.

It was the words of one bloated, disconnected monster to another. Buckley was merely making a casula observation of fact, and it showed.

Timmy, of course, said nothing. Although as we know the merest mention of this by a Leftist pundit (funny, I can't even think of one permitted to gain access to Imperial Pravda) would be trumpeted across the dial 24/7 for weeks in an orgy of shouting, bullying, intimidation, whether Timmy agreed (as he no doubt was aching to) ro said nothing.

So, there you have it, another casual exchange between Busheviks (notice how it happens when they feel themselves "among friends" like a stacked MTWhore Panel) in which their "truths" are spoken.

1. I thought Buckley showed a shocking decline in his mental agility, when

in defense of American deaths, he came out with that lame metaphor about fireman that was mostly incoherent.

5. buckley is not the only one "in decline" who supports

bush. I think there are more than a few of them out there who must be brain dead and certainly don't give a shyte about our Country.

Isn't buckley suppose to be a conservative? bushco aren't conservative..they're selling our Country down the river.

6. I know a few elderly lifelong repukes

they are totally out of touch (of course they always were), but they have such an ingrained belief that the GOP represents their interests so they don't have to think.

I think Buckley is in that boat. Some handlers or another just wheeled him out and said "GOP good, Democrats bad."

They don't realize this is not their comfortable UMC GOP anymore. This is a different game now.

2. Buckley has been heading

south for a couple of years now. I had to watch it for a minute to see where he would go, and he didn't disappoint. The first words out of his mouth. I kind of wanted to hear what Germond had to say, but I couldn't stomach the fifteen minutes of Buckley to get there.

7. I don't consider this a big deal.

Suppose a liberal said to a journalist that he should help the public to understand why people should vote against Bush.

sad to see a keen mind go as buckley's apparently has. the man was a shadow of what he once was. yet, the intellectual dishonesty and selective use of facts was still there for all to see.

Buckely needs to go rest, it is sad to see a lion in winter, even if I didn't agree with him in the first place. He's already given up sailing, his other love, now maybe it's time for politics.

12. Yes, but I wouldn't say that to a MEDIA PERSON on Nat'l TV!

The worst part is, and I could be wrong, the Buckley's only mistake was saying it like that to Timmy the Confirmed Bushevik (Jack Welch did a 'Network' the Movie on him, I think).

He said it matter of factly, as if EVERYONE KNEW Timmy was "on board".

My belief is that his senility allowed him to say something he NEVER should have said outside the ears of The Party. But it would be viewed as just the slip of an old man.

I believe it's more, not an order or anything so :tinfoilhat: just a tacit acknowledgement as if they were at the Cocktail Party of Riches.
