BBV: National Ballot Integrity Project Website & Forums Launched
It's time for the entire BBV movement to come together for the final push before the 2004 elections. Since this amazing national movement started right here at DU, I wanted to make sure that the whole BBV crew (and any other DUers who are interested) got the word before the new National Ballot Integrity Project website and Discussion Forums are formally announced tomorrow (in conjunction with The Computer Ate My Vote National Day of Action).

For a bit of background, many of us took part in the "Take Back America” Conference in Washington DC last month, where the National Ballot Integrity Project held organizing meetings and discussions with national leaders and activists from around the country. There was extraordinary synergy among leaders of state-based voting integrity coalitions and national organizations such as MoveOn.org, Democracy for America, Common Cause, True Majority, People for the American Way and many others. We experienced a remarkable and potent convergence of energies, ideas, and commitment to the cause of voting integrity in America.

We've been working hard behind the scenes, and we're thrilled to announce that the National Ballot Integrity Project's website and interactive Discussion Forums are now live and online at http://www.ballotintegrity.org!

The National Ballot Integrity Project Discussion Forums are interactive communications tools to help everyone share strategies, plan events, solve problems and offer insights and advice, across the country in "real time." The Discussion Forums (and the National Ballot Integrity Project itself) are designed to take the synergy, momentum and effectiveness of the entire ballot integrity movement to a whole new level.

Please visit the site, register for (and post on) the forums, and let us know what you think.

And yes, I'm one of the cofounders of the organization!

Take a look at the home page.

7. Still tweaking a few minor elements.
The drop down menu in the left column still needs a final bit of scripting, as does the google search module at the top of the home page. All the major elements of the site are running, and the bells and whistles will all be ringing and tooting this week.

11. Good to see this "Hedda." After all the stuff on the other thread about
Bev some of us were starting to get very worried. Glad to know there is more than one effort although Bev's effort has gotten the most publicity because so many folks here worked on it. I'm sorry that so many feel they were used and mislead working with her. It does raise questions about motivations. :-(

Congratulations! This needs to be a huge effort and not just the work of one person taking all the credit. There may be other ways of fighting this legally with more groups involved. Even if the California "whistle blower" suit fails. :toast:
