Democratic Party: A hot-bed of moderates....
If BushCo steals the election again, do you believe that the Democratic Party 'elders' are going to 'fight' any harder than they did in 2000?....

1. Hope some Senator will back up the CBC if the whole 2000
fiasco replays itself.

Though odds are it won't go down exactly the same this time around.

2. No, I'm not confident
that is why it is important that Kerry win by a margin large enough that it is impossible for Bush to steal.

3. If they steal the election with rigged electronic machines which...
...don't print paper ballots, what can anyone do?

4. It depends on the situation.
If there is a provable case that fraud was involved, yes, they'll fight. If it's done like 2000, probably not.

I hope each local Democratic election organization has already worked out how to insure that each vote will be counted honestly. If it's not done before the election, we are in trouble.

5. No.
The Democratic party hasn't been able to raise a fist in thirty years. Growing up in a line of blue collar unionists has taught me one thing, being nice gets you SHIT. You have to be willing to punch and be punched to get anywhere in this world. The democrats, my party, my father's party and his father's party, have become soft, marshallow moderates, afraid to take a side.

In my opinion, the only way we will take back what we've lost and finally begin to work towards a progressive future is when workers are willing to organize, work the streets, and punch a scab square in the mouth when they cross a picket line.

6. I agree....
The 'go-along, get-along' temperment of the Democratic Party gives me pause for concern.....because if BushCo does manage to somehow 'steal' the election again, it's going to be up to the Dems to wage the 'war'....and I'm not sure if they will want to.....

Look at all the BushCo crap that's out there and we hardly hear a peep from the Party 'elders', yet alone see them 'fight'....

Edited on Mon Jul-12-04 11:13 PM by seabeyond
for both parties. on a bell curve, you would have fewer numbers of extremist, hence the word, and more middle of road. common sense,........so

on edit, to add........my repug husband who doesnt believe they are going to cancel election oh a couple months ago, said he would have to pick up gun and join the masses if they did. today, he is taking it a little more serious. so there will be more than just dems
