America mulls doomsday scenarios- Deccan Herald (India)
Osama bin Laden has made the Bush administration think of the unthinkable.

No US presidential election has ever been postponed but the Bush administration is discussing an emergency plan for postponing elections in the event of terrorist attacks.

Rain, hail or civil war, the presidential elections were always held as scheduled. In 1864, Abraham Lincoln rejected a suggestion to delay the election in the face of civil war and said that a postponement will enable the rebellion to fairly claim that it has “already conquered us".

The world has certainly changed after 9/11 if the US government is even thinking of postponing presidential elections in the face of terror threat.

1. Naw, they are just looking for an excuse for the Chimp
to postpone the enevitalbe - and stay in office for as long as it takes the Supreme Court or the Senate and House to gang up on him.

Hope he enjoys his permanent exile to CRAWFISH, Texas.

Face it, he won't go gently into that good night.

2. go shopping, cancel elections
i think we all go around with a sneer of disdain for this logic. in the grocery store, filling up for gas, at work, ......where ever, and with such disdain, bush would wussify so to obl giving our power away to this man, and allowing him to have us cowering. oh the shame
