This so called progressive dumb ass I work with also said that she doesn't like Kerry because of how he looks. However she will vote for Edwards. THIS is how people vote. They don't care about ideas, just how you would look in bed. Sad.

Anyway, I told her that the difference between Moore and Leni is that Leni staged her movies and worked for the state. Michael Moore is not working for anyone and F9/11 was not staged. The dumb ass then said that Michael Moore is a propagandist because you can do all kinds of stuff with movies in editing. I shot back that the footage he has is the footage that other news outlets took during the timeline of the events.

The footage does not lie. Michael Moore is not making up things, he is just showing them to you as they happened. Something the Leni Riefenstahl news media will not show you. Also, she never even saw F/911, and I doubt that she saw any Moore film ever.

Man, I swear to god. Do people even know what the term liberal or progressive mean?

On a side note: Here in Portland Oregon, I rarely if ever see a Bush/Dick sticker on any car or any kind of phony patriotic crap on cars or lawns. It reminds me of Germany after the fall, Where you couldn't find one person who supported or voted for Hitler.

However, there are plenty of Kerry for Prez stickers flying around.

It's eerily similar to seeing loyal Repugs swearing up and down that Bush is the man for the job, no matter what happens. Methinks that wouldn't change even if our nation were bombed flat, just like Germany was. The parallels between the two political climates are more than a little disturbing.
