just got done talking to a repuke friend of mine...
Who is not enamored about GWB because of the war...I kept enlightening him about the other abuses of the GWB admin...He kept on saying "I didn't know that"

At first he said that he was not going to vote at all...which is not a bad thing...but I think that that I got him talked into voting with us...

Yippee-kay-yay!!!

That would be my 7th convert...

State of PA...VERY key...

Goodnight all

DU is...incredible...

Thanks to all of you...

1. I think the "Did you know....?" approach is the most effective
It's soft, but you can just keep rattling off the "did you know.... and did you know...and did you know..."

2. Good for you! But don't stop there.
Keep talking to the converts so their fragile minds aren't bent to the will of the RW media on the boob tube. When any of them are willing to listen, send them to DU to learn a few things.

6. Thanks for that...
I also loudly proclaimed that the gold old USA is being brainwashed by right-wing tlak radio - and got more than a few accompanying nods in return...at the local pub...

Not the one where I am known as "psycho democrat"..

But that is another story...one that I am winning as well...

10. Yes, Florida does count
I've said since the beginning of the campaign, and I think everyone knows this- Florida, Ohio, and Pennsylvania will decide our President. Whoever wins 2 out of those 3 will win it. And Kerry's doing well in all 3, only slightly behind in Ohio, ahead in the other 2. So, it's looking good, but every bit helps. Good work.

8. Cheers!
I convinced my super right wing brother too. I kept bitching about how crappy bush is and he finally decided that the war in Iraq is unjustified and that bush is the stupidest person we've ever had in office. He even wants to see Fahrenheit 9/11 with me and we might go tomorrow. and I'm only 14! DU kicks so much ass :toast:

9. What I found that works the best for me
is saying, "I'm sure you are aware that ....
or "Since it is common knowledge and I suspect you are already aware of ....

My brother told me that my other two brothers are not going to vote for * this time around. I almost fell off my chair. Both were obnoxious republicans and one even went so far as to needle me on the night of our mother's wake. But, it really ticks them off when they don't get a reaction.
