CNN.....Al Franken statement...anyone know?
Jack Cafferty (puke) just reported (seriously) that Al Franken is changing the name of the O'Franken Factor to the name The Al Franken Show, because he is tired of being "trashed" by Fox. Surely not? Anyone heard anything about this? Franken giving in?

2. He said it had served its purpose
He wasn't "trashed" by Fox. He stuck it to Fox and now it's time to move on. Or something along those lines.

Franken Changes Name Of Radio Show
'O'Franken Factor' Becomes 'Al Franken Show'

POSTED: 9:35 am EDT July 13, 2004

Al Franken has dropped the "O" and "Factor" from the name of his radio talk show.

The author and political satirist said in a statement Monday that the name of his show on the liberal Air America radio network is changing from "The O'Franken Factor" to "The Al Franken Show."

"The O'Franken Factor" was an obvious jab at the name of Bill O'Reilly's show "The O'Reilly Factor," which airs on cable television's Fox News Channel.

"No matter how hard we tried, Bill O'Reilly wouldn't sue us," Franken said in the statement. "Since that was the whole point of the name."

6. O'Reilly definitely wanted sue
His daily tirades about "Stuart Smalley" and "left-wing bomb throwers" shows how much this really was getting in his craw. HA! :D
