"We were right to go into Iraq..."
"America is safer". So said George W Bush in his speech yesterday. John Kerry and John Edwards cannot dispute him, but I can. And so can the majoirty of Democrats and the majority of Americans. No, George, you were not right to invade any country without any proof. You were not right to cause the death of almost 900 Americans and leave the mangled bodies and lives of thousands of others. No George, you did not have the wisdom or the authority to do what you did. And America is not safer. Do you really think that we would be talking about postponing elections in November or that Americans would be so fearful at this time if you had not decided to invade Iraq? No George, you were wrong. You were terribly wrong. The mystery is your overbearing gall to run for election in 2004 after such a dismal record of incompetence and dangerous arrogance.

2. 72% of us apparently do NOT feel safer:
www.cnn.com

Do you feel America is safer from terror because of the war in Iraq?

Yes 28% 35233 votes

No 72% 92157 votes

Total: 127390 votes

Only the 28% of morons (freepers) feel safer. They would say anything to please their king and get him re-elected. :puke:

6. The fact that he is still trying to justify it says it all
No one had to justify or apologize for WWII.

War is an absolute last resort when there is no other alternative.

This was an oil conquest war and EVERYONE knows it.

9. Does anyone question the fact that he doesn't JUSTIFY his claim?
He admits that the intelligence was wrong (remains to be seen if it was DOCTORED).

He admits that there are no stockpiles of WMDs.

But nevertheless, he insists that he was right to go to war with Iraq and that America is safer because of it.

Huh? Could someone PLEASE ask him WHY he still thinks this?

10. Yeah. Just about as "right" as going into Vietnam or Nicaragua.
Or Cambodia, Laos, Honduras, Chile, and a host of other nations we invaded, undermined, or had our paid surrogates do for us.
