As each day goes by the more optimistic I become
I got into a good conversation with a friend of mine who is very conservative and he spouted all the conservative talking points straight from Rush but when it was all said and done he said he was sorry he had voted the way he had in 2000 and was not happy with Bush*. Also I have not seen a single bumper sticker or yard sign with Bush*/Cheney. Not one. By this time in 2000 they were everywhere. I am seeing quite a few Kerry signs though. I am also seeing more liberal bumper stickers all the time. Almost no "Don't mess with the US" signs or Flag covered SUVs. Their silence is deafening.

1. Me too, except when I think of Rove switching VP candidates.

5. Yeah. That looks more and more likely to me
Will it be time for Cheney to spend more time with his pacemaker?

7. I should add, that in my lifetime (I'm on SS), I have never seen a
situation where people wanted a president out of office so badly. Many of the people I talk with of all adult age groups often bring up the subject of "Anybody but Bush*". That's why I don't understand the polls being so close.

3. We havent agreed on much lately ....
But I SURE as hell agree with this assessment ...

The Bush lovers are disappearing ... he has jolted nearly everyone EXCEPT a small portion of his base, which he is forced to buttress now ...

I think the GOP is sinking fast ... and will be sunk in November ...

4. I am cautiously optimistic. The only GOP stickers I have seen are
the "W 04" ones, which many could very well think are an ad for motor oil. ;)

8. I have seen two Bush/Cheney signs
in this area--they were placed inside the front storm door and appeared about a month ago. They have disappeared--both of them. I conclude that they were deliberately taken down because they were protected from the weather etc where they were placed so no reason to take them down. I have seen one BC bumper sticker on a car and that is the car owned by an idiot, pea brained racist.

I have seen several anti-Bush bumper stickers though.

9. The polls still show a very close race and I believe that.
I think a lot of Repugs and conservatives will vote for Bush*, but they don't feel like advertising the fact. They don't want their neighbors to know what fools they are.
