JUST A BIT OF SPECULATION HERE.
FDR and JFK did not live to see a post-political life. Richard Nixon did and spent his time between seclusion and writing books before emerging on the scene again. Lyndon Johnson did not survive very long after he left office. Gerald Ford played Golf and still does. Ronald Reagan went home and slowly died. Geo. H W Bush just went home and as far as I can tell, isn't doing much of anything. Jimmy Carter has made his post-Presidential years the most productive, acting as mediator, election overseer, carpenter building houses for the poor and writing. And Bill Clinton spends his time speech-making and writing.

Now comes Shrub.

Since it is becoming clear that he wont have a second term, what do you think he will do to pass the time? Write a book? With his command of the English language, I would think not. Teach? Hah!!! Go into business again? Despite that MBA, his business record is pretty bad. So thats out. Run a baseball team? Hardly. Go home to New England or go to his adult playground, that hard scrapple plot of sand he calls a ranch. Thats possible.
I think Shrub is going to re-enlist in the Texas Air National Guard, take his physical, try to become a pilot again and then show THESE records as proof he never went AWOL.

1. Don't count Shrub out yet. Rove still has a lot of dirty tricks to pull.

He has accomplished nothing in his pathetic life. So back to Crawford to do what he is only good at. Just go away Bush.

3. I have a couple more items for the post Carter years.
He is also into crafting fine furniture and wooden tools.

Bush I is very busy behind the scenes in Wash... he's old, but virile.
