Repugs sending Boycott emails - I have a suggestion DEMS BOYCOTT FOX!!
I just don't understand why ANY Democrat would want to appear on an entertainment channel that pretends to be a news channel. IT'S A FARCE and these damn Dem's that frequent the place JUST NEED TO LEAVE. I saw one on there today (had no choice, entertainment at restaurant). Does anybody realize what would happen to Faux's already flagging reputation if it couldn't get any Dem's to show up??

DEM'S BOYCOTT FAUX!!

It is the only appropriate thing to do!

1. I've wondered for a long time
why Democrats appear on Fox News. I'm sure they say it's a chance to get their views heard by conservatives, or to refute what the right wing Fox guest says. But their views are not heard, nor do they get a chance to refute anything. They are treated rudely, ridiculed, and given no respect whatsoever. I think all Democrats should just decline any invitations to appear on Fox. It only has negative results.

2. I couldn't agree more with you on this.
Boycott Fox! They only set-up the democrat to maximize their neo-con issue. We fall for this trick daily.

3. If it makes sense, then why only two responses?

The "outfoxed" thread is popular, why not DO something about these jokers at Faux?? Is this the best we can do for activism in an era where our nation is being torn apart by these tellers of untruths?

6. Thanks, that "outfoxed" trailer is excellent.
Perhaps that combined with their clear bias during this election season will make some of these milquetoast Dem's get off their ass and DO something about this right-wing attack on our great country.

7. Guy was on NPR talking about "outfoxed" and he had data
showing that not only are they popular, but a lot of Dems like this "pro wrestling" form of entertainment. Problem is, people are so lazy and suggestable these days...

8. Agreed
There is not point whatsoever for any dems to go on fox, it's always a setup, the guest is almost always ambushed. They should all JUST SAY NO TO FAUX!!!!

9. Perhaps we should start boycotting Dems who go on Fox.
Edited on Tue Jul-13-04 01:20 PM by Cat Atomic
Letter writing campaigns, or phone-ins... something. We need to complain to them for offering Fox underserved legitimacy.

I do agree, though. Fox could easily be starved into irrelevancy if liberals decided as a group to boycot the network.

10. Exactly!! "Starved into irrelevancy" - I love it!!
We need to do this. I'm going to email EVERY Dem who I hear is on Fox (I can't bring myself to watch it) - if enough folks participate, the Dem's may figure it out. It could become a story unto itself. On the tails of "outfoxed", it could have an impact!!

11. i'm boycotting them for sure
of course, they've never asked me to appear in the first place so i'm not sure they even notice.

in any event, i currently have 30-35 boycotts going. it's damn hard to keep track of them all.

12. I have been posting this idea for a long time. They have NO HOPE
against these jerks any way. They are not there to debate. They are there to debase dems, turn off their mike, interrupt and ambush them. I so Hannity (while channel surfing) with John Brown (ex Gov CA) and they treated him like an idiot (about Kerry's NY fundraiser). It is useless to show up. And they should send them letters that they can cite later saying "thanks, but no thanks" to these mindless rantings.

13. So lets start a champaign where we email Dems who appear on Faux!!
We can plead with them NOT to support Fox by appearing on their network! We can even come up with "talking points" that give them a consistent message and give them good responses to Fox's request to be on their network.

Here's one:

"I am not appearing on any entertainment shows/networks at this time"

or...?

come up with some of your own.. :)
