W's mixed message?
I've been thinking about this one and its a puzzler. The chimp says that we are "safer" but the terror threat is elevated and there is talk of suspending the election.

This doesn't make sense and I don't think the voters will find this very sensible either.

How can it be that the chimp says we are safer when Ridge says we are not?

Maybe they are hedging their bets?

Doesn't make sense, if we are safer because of Iraq, (I'm being rhetorical here, I know the realities of Iraq) then we don't need to cancel the election.

If the terror threat is real, then why run around the nation saying that we are safer because of Iraq?

2. Great Point.
Why...it was just this morning when I said to the Missus....

"If w* claims we're safer, then why isn't the Terror Alert at Blue, or Green? Why has it stayed at Yellow for so long?"

War is Peace. Ignorance is Strength. 2 + 2 = 5.

I think that sums it up nicely.

4. yes and thats why i miss Dean...
... Dean would be all over this, but Kerry isn't asking this central question. I think he would do well in a character debate. Especially if the debate was mixed between issues and character.

This "flip-flopper" thing is still on going. CNN this morning interviewed a Dem (a governor, can't remember his name) and worked in "flip-flop" and Kerry in the interview. Kerry has to get on this horse and get some fire in his campaign.

If not Kerry (and boy, does that idea chap my ass) then Dean or Gore needs to get up on the stump and start hammering this dichotomy home. Americans are attention starved and a dim lot, but this simple contradiction would be easy to jump on.

*sigh* Are there any DLC or DNC party members reading this? Get on your boys and girls and get this ball rolling!!!!!

Clip of Bush saying we are winning against terra.
Clip of Rummy's "We don't know when or where" conference.
Clip of Bush saying we are safer.
Clip of Ridge warning about an attack.
Clip of Bush talking about freedom.
Clip of Whomever talking about suspending elections.

No voiceovers, no other text, no commentary at all. These men have given us MILES of rope with which to hang them. Let's get to it.
