Democrats Should Rise Up And Demand The Capture Of OBL
What a great way to defuse the July Surprise that is just around the corner. If we demand Ossama's capture right now we can then take credit for finally raising such a stink that Bush had to pay some attention - rather than continue ignorning him. We get credit for the capture, not the pinhead.

1. How ..
How can we (I'm not a democrat, but I assume you include unaffiliateds here) 'demand the capture of UBL'?

There are 20,000 US troops in Afghanastan and the Pakistan
boarder area. What else could we demand except more troops?
I don't think that's what anyone here wants ...

What exactly would you say we demand that the government
do?

7. How? Link Arms For Goodness Sakes
We have 140,000 troops in Iran, a country that did us no harm, and we have 20,000 troops in Afghanastan, where the man who did us great harm hides. What could we do? Take the damned troops out of Iraq and put them in Afghanastan, where they could link arms and march across the god damned country until they kicked him in the ass by accident, that's how. Then bring every one of our troops home just as fast as they could load up on airplanes.

2. Oh, don't worry.
If they get him, you can bet your ass they're going to roll him out a few hours before dinnertime on November 1st.

3. That might not be a bad idea....

They could say that we've captured Saddam Hussein and Osama has been running free since Sept 2001 and if we had devoted as much effort to capturing him as Saddam, we would have had him already. It's time for Mr Bush to devote more troops and efforts to capturing this person we should have captured already. There's no excuse for the person that actually bombed us to still be running free...

6. Uh huh... and then the Bushies pull him out of a hat and say
Ta-DAAAAH!!! See, we're safer with Dubya!

Then what? Seems like we'd end up with a big, smoking hole in one foot, don'tcha think?

(standard disclaimer to lurking RW columnists and Agent Mike: of COURSE Democrats & Liberals want OBL to face justice- strictly addressing political tactics in this thread)

8. No. It's about time!
Why didn't they devote the time to catching him before now? we would be happy that Osama is caught, just sorry that it took so long...

4. Bush should be called to account
Why have we frozen ourselves because we think they'll just roll OBL out at the critical moment? A big part of this story is the fact, as reported by Woodward, that we diverted nearly $70 million from our Al Quaeda efforts to fight the fictional war in Iraq. The attack in Spain may have been prevented and the door has been left open for future attacks in the U.S. The fact is Bush has failed miserably in the thing he claims the most credit for. "The war on terror". After three whole years on the run and with the entire United States arsenal at his disposal you begin to wonder if he really WANTS to capture Bin Laden.

9. I say demand truly independent prosecutors
for any number of the brewing scandals with no setting of the parameters of the investigations like they have been getting away with all along.

11. Did you hear what Donald Trump told Bush?
He really let him have it.
Something to the effect that:

If he were President, Bin Laden would have been captured a long time ago. How can someone who is 6 feet 6 along with kidney failures be so difficult to find or hide out in the dessert for so long?

And why are we still having highest security problems with terrorists after capturing Saddan Huisen since he was supposed to be such a huge threat?

12. Great idea.

We would have credibility here because it's actually a real issue - if he's still in the mountains somewhere, then why is he still running around almost three years later when we could have used a fraction of the troops we sent to Iraq to go look for him?
