UN inspectors in Iraq...pre invasion |
|
We now know (officially) that the boosh argument for WMD in Iraq was mistaken. Boosh himself has admitted as much.
Well, the UN inspectors were in Iraq, just as was called for in the IWR, but boosh jumped the shark and invaded before their report was finished.
Had boosh waited a few more weeks, all the intelligence we ever needed about WMD, or other weapons in Iraq, would have been known to the whole world.
So, the excuse used by boosh that the CIA misled him are unfounded and irrational (surprise, surprise) because he refused to get all the knowledge we needed beforehand.
Boosh alone is to blame for the Iraqi invasion. Not the CIA, not the Senate, nobody but boosh.

and Hans Blix has backed that up by saying the same thing. They just needed more time.

2. Bush says the inspections never happened |
|
Said it again at his campaign rallies yesterday, that Saddam prevented inspections and therefore he was in the position of having to trust a madman. Bush just ignores that the inspections were going on, that they were coming up negative, and that it was him, and only him, that decided the inspections were missing WMD he just knew was there.
The bull of the day was that the inspections were missing WMD and were therefore unreliable. Who looks unreliable now?

Yep, he just ignores history... hell, he's rewriting history.
The real pisser is that the 'Free' Press ignores history too..
The only one to blame for the invasion is boosh... he and he alone made it happen, on purpose.

4. Yep, they are resting on a lie |
|
Which makes it such a difficult job to fight in the perception war. People want to believe that Saddam was stopping inspections and remember the reports of diplomatic problems in the inspections. Even though such problems are normal in any sensitive diplomatic situation, people dont know that. Its a strong Rhetorical argument.
