Coping with next 3.5 months - brick wall or hidey-hole? |
|
I ahve already decided to try to emigrate early next year, regardless of who takes office on Jan 20. I am afraid that we're on a fast track to Banana Republicanism, and don't want to spend my golden years in a country run by the BFEE and Sean Hannity. My local all-sports radio station, which provides a nice respite from hate radio, has apparently decided to run GOP propaganda in the morning (presumably because we recently lost a RW sttion, leaving only 4), moving the screaming RW'ers to the AM slot.
So with that in mind, what would be the best way to deal with the time between now and the election? Which would be better for my mental health - avoiding newspapers, TV, radio altogether (the hidey-hole), or being hyper-active trying to get JFK and Barrack elected (banging my head on the proverbial brick wall)? What would you do?

...can you at least send money to the John Kerry campaign and/or the Barrack Obama campaign?
