How silly do Bush and co look when a terrorists surrenders?

Gets amnesty and it's unclear if the USA will have accessto him.And on top of everything, hobbles out of a plane to get medical care.
They are spinning it by saying he wasn't a senior official. But I believe had he been captured, he would have been Bin Laden's right hand man, tied to 9/11 and somehow related to Clinton.
