Arm chair diagnosis are always dangerous but OMG. Hour after hour of diatribe against gay marriage. It will end civilization. It will corrupt children. It will cause divorce. And on and on and on. There is a word for people like this. It is obsessive. Does Pennsylvania have no problems? Do I live a scant 25 miles from paradise? Who would have thunk it?

8. How "Man-On-Dog" Rick got elected |
|
Guns.
God.
And lots of the long Green.
When he was first running against Harris Wofford, it was non-stop pro-life and RKBA rhetoric for three solid months. A HUGE budget went into getting Santorum elected, and he won by the slimmest of margins.
He's going to have some problems in '06 when he runs again. Whether Kerry wins or not, by 2006, the tide will be going out on the Neo-Con madness, taking the trash out to sea with it.

28. Pennsylvania politics are weird |
|
Edited on Tue Jul-13-04 10:44 PM by oustemnow
On the state level, you have Lisa "Rum and" Boscola, John "Two-Face" Lawless, and, then, on the national scene, this clown Santorum.
That being said, I don't believe for a minute that Santorum believes any of the crap that he spews. He's realized that queers are an easy target and he can score easy political points off of them, and he doesn't care how ridiculous he looks while doing so as long as it keeps him in office and in the dreaded liberal media. Sort of like James Bakker, et al. In fact I'd be wiling to bet that Slick Rick has some pretty kinky habits locked away in his closet.

I've been thinking about the similarity of his name to that of a Sanitarium - a mental one like Bellevue (New Yorker here). He is crazy as a loon, isn't he. But then, most of them are. I happened to catch Barbara Boxer this morning as she refuted the reasons that the FMA was being debated. She brilliantly dismantled their arguments one by one and then went on to explain what this was really all about - one of their WMD's (Weapons of Mass Distraction). One of the best speeches. She just hit it out of the park.

and I remember what Carville said about this place in 92.
'We'll treat Philadelphia and Pittsburgh like the big Eastern cities they are and the rest of the state like goddamn Alabama!'
He's absolutely right. In fact, we've got more hate groups and militia people than Idaho or Alabama put together.
And don't forget: Santorum, latin for asshole.

Has he noticed that gay and lesbian couples have been living together in loving relationships for a LONG ass time and nothing bad has happened as a result?
What a tool.
If there's one thing I am willing to take an actual physical ass-kicking for, it is for the right of homosexual people to live in peace and acceptance and have all the rights and benefits given to me and my husband.
So there. Stick that up your ass, Rick.

Santorum is Latin for ASSHOLE.
I spend much energy just pretending he's not my Senator. Of all the wacky politicians we have here in PA, Sactimonium is at the top of my list for IMPEACHMENT. I do think there's some degree of mental instability there. Or perhaps just good old-fashioned EVIL!
