using wolf/condi interview in which she claims not to know whence all this talk about suspended elections comes
then Stewart pointed to a pictures of Soaries, bush, and ridge, saying Bush appointed them
then he said something like, well, she's just the national security adviser, and this is.....a matter of......national security
audience at it up

6. Rob Corddry Senior Terror/Election Specialist was hilarious! |
|
To protect from terrorists, certain states on the perimeter of the country will be set up as non-voting buffers (NY, Cal, etc.--all blue states) so that the interior (red) states can safely vote. To make up for the people not voting in the perimeter states, the voters in the interior states will be designated super-citizens and allowed to vote twice.

trying to spin Spanish elections again as a victory for the terrorists.
Jon Stewart challenging it. "There were other issues involved there, etc." Also questioning whether there were political motives behind the terror alerts. He's deconstructing the party line pretty well I think.

16. Funny how Izzy rolls out Rove's spin on the Spanish elections, |
|
and lets it just sit there. Then Jon FOLLOWS UP with facts, and then Izzy gets all "Oh yea, babe; probably the perception of the PM lying about the Basque guys doing it is what turned the election". Like he's running for something, instead of being a reporter. Sheesh.
Other time zones: TDSWJS is always the best ever.

17. The Daily Howler did an excellent debunking the Spanish election |
|
From http://www.dailyhowler.com/dh031804.shtml (Spinning Spain): ...The contest in Spain had always been close between the governing Popular Party, which backed Mr. Bush’s policies, and the Socialists, who opposed them…
...(A)ccording to the (New York) Times: 1. In the final poll, on March 7, the Popular Party led, 42-38. 2. On March 14, they ended up losing, 43-38. :headbang: rocknation

14. but won't that disenfranchise voters in all those blue states? |
|
no problem, John ... we have a solution for that ... we're going to make all the people in the red states "supervoters" ... to make up for the lost blue state votes, we'll give all the supervoters two votes each ...
