A reminder about volunteering this election season:
Okay, so you aren't too thrilled about the presidential ticket this year. Maybe Kerry or Edwards don't really turn you on, and while you'll be happy to vote for them, you'd prefer not to volunteer for them. That's absolutely fine with me.

But please let me remind you of this: the entire House of Representatives is up for re-election. There are tons of state house seats up for re-election. Probably a few State senate slots, too. And if you want to go really local, there's always county commission seats. And those local campaigns are almost always in desperate need of a few volunteers to help with mailings, walkings, and so on.

Not too big on Kerry Edwards? Cool with me, but please get off your ass and help out with the other stuff. We need you.

1. Ok, Colin.....
I'm going to call my local Dem office and volunteer. Thanks for the little extra shove - I needed it.

2. I've tried for our Dem congressional candidate
But I'm yet to get an e-mail back...more like he's just in there to run rather than beat the incumbent...:grr:

3. Not even...
Volunteering...call in, write letters. I work in a senator's office, and you'd be surprised how thorough we read the letters, take your calls. Your senator will know how you feel on a certain issue, so get out there and make your voice heard. Every government office needs volunteers, whether it be answering phones, writting letters, or campaigning....your help will always be needed.
