I'm a conspiracy theorist when it comes to this election delay deal.
It wouldn't take very much effort for Bush and Ridge to create a national emergency, a la the Reichstag fire. Or even to say a few days before hand that they have credible evidence that tells them there will be an attack on election day and elections must be postponed.

I know I'm preaching to the choir, but we can't underestimate the gullibility of Americans or the sneakiness of Bush, Ashcroft, and Ridge. A plot to make sure elections don't happen is a serious possibility, isn't it?

I wish our side were hitting the administration harder on this. If Bush keeps telling us we're safe, the question of suspending elections shouldn't even be raised, right?

1. The Bush administration doesn't push ideas
that aren't to their advantage. They're going to try to use this to steal the election somehow.

2. Take this to the bank
You can be absolutely, positively certain of one thing: this group of deviants in the WH are not about to let something as risky as an election push them out of power.

They seem to have this look in their eyes--they're not giving it up this time. And remember, the ends justify the means with this crowd. They will do whatever it takes to stay in the driving seat.

4. 2 ways this is a plus for *
1) They get to time it for a climate of fear.
2) THE BIG ONE --- if they steal the election, sometime in late December, they can shut down any possibility of a recount, because "there won't be time". Remember Florida 2000?

5. Contact your county clerk
ask to be an election judge or clerk or contact your local Democratic Party HQ and ask to be an observer or someone who gives rides to people to polls!
