Funny comment my husband heard on Limbaugh yesterday
He was traveling to a meeting and there is only one station that he gets clearly, which happens to play Oxy-Rush, so he listened. He had to call me to tell me what the idiot said.

Not an exact quote, but it went like this:

Edwards and Kerry look at things through the prism of pessimism, while I (and the republicans, I assume) look at things through the prism of love.

OK, now even the most dedicated ditto-head cannot possibly believe that!!!!

My poor husband was laughing so hard he nearly ran off the road.

I have ordered him an XM receiver so he can listen to AAR, like I do.

1. XM is RW connected. Get Sirius instead.
Just a suggestion.

2. Well, he already got me an XM to listen to...
So, I ordered a second receiver for him.

I didn't know they were RW connected, plus, it was a gift from him to allow me to listen without being tied to the PC.

I will talk to him about maybe switching over though. Thanks for the heads-up.

Bettie

3. Not to mention...
Sirius has several liberal stations, including ALL of AAR, Sirius Left and Out Q. May be a few others.

It would be worth it for Sirius Left, which is better than AAR, IMO.

6. Hey, I'm just happy to get something
Other than RW whack jobs here in the wilderness of Iowa.

I like AAR. We have time left on our contract with XM, so, we probably won't be switching to Sirius for a bit, but I will have to investigate it for the future and wait for a good deal!

5. That would be a great gift. I live in the NY area and get AAR
but I still listen to Rush and Hannity every once in a while. Just for laughs. To see what straws they are clutching at now, to discredit the liberals.

For instance, Hannity the other day was 'wondering' if John Edwards should be investigated because of the 'junk science' claims used in his litigations against medical care providers. Such as his claim that cerebral palsy was a result of negligence at the time of the child's birth. Pathetic.

12. Yes, in your humor you've uncovered the riddle...
And if you reread Rush's comment placing it in the context of what Republican's believe..In essence he's saying, anyone that doesn't believe as republican's believe, they belong in the prison of love..(incarserated)

13. Rush is like any other common crook, not guilty!
People rot in jail today, over a few grams of pot! But then GOPers in HIGH places are above the common mans laws, that he is forced to live by! Look at Jeb's daughter and Ashcroft's nephew! The war on Drugs is just another GOP war on common poor people! The GOP has everything to gain from the "War On Drugs" and now as it turns out in Rush and his ilk's cases, absolutely NOTHING to lose!

8. But they DO believe they "love"
The twisted right-wing mind believes "love" means leaving someone alone to fend for themselves, as it will eventually make them better people. It is actually "tough love," and they would never presribe it for themselves or their own kids, but it is the kind of love the rest of the world needs. More importantly, the republicans believe "optimism" is all that is needed for any problem, even moreso than love. There is truth to it, in a twisted, RW sort of way...if everyone was optimistic, if everyone would deny that Iraq was going to get worse, if everyone said everything will get better if we give ALL the money to the top 1%, well then, everyone would be in agreement, and happy, and that would make everyone happier.

And it would allow the RW and the corporations to continue marching on our freedoms and our constitution, as we stand by waving our flags and saying "It looks like it's gonna get better!"

9. Rush meant the love of money.
Rush, like many republicans, loves his money more than he loves his country.
