Kerry takes lead in Pennsylvania 46%-41%
WASHINGTON - Democrat John Kerry has moved into a slight lead in the key swing state of Pennsylvania, according to a poll taken just after he chose his running mate.

The Quinnipiac University survey released Wednesday found Kerry was backed by 46 percent of voters, President Bush by 41 percent and independent Ralph Nader by 5 percent.

That's Kerry's largest lead in a three-way race in the state since the Massachusetts senator emerged as his party's presidential pick in March.

A Quinnipiac poll last month showed Kerry and Bush deadlocked, 43 percent to 42 percent, with Nader at 7 percent.

4. Faux news influence
Got to love Faux news conservatizing everybody else (not that they were ever "liberal" to begin with as the right claims).

5. Quinnipiac is pretty accurate and this was done using
registered voters, which I learned here is more accurate. I have to laugh at how they say "slight lead" even though it is a 5 point lead counting Nader. Of course if Bush were up by one, then it would be a "lead" not a "sligiht lead." Well, at least the numbers are in our favor.

8. Yes, 2006 can't come soon enough
Chris Heinz is supposed to be running against PA Republican Melissa Hart for congress.

There is also talk that PA State Treasurer Barbara Hafer is planning to run for Santorum's Senate seat in 2006. Hafer was a Democrat, switched to the Republican party and then switched back to the Democratic party earlier this year. She is not as progressive as I would like, but would still be a HUGE improvement over Santorum.

I must admit, I would get IMMENSE pleasure out of seeing Santorum defeated.

10. Maybe Theresa Heinz could "pull a Hillary" and take on Santorum. That
would be sweet, wouldn't it?

11. Speaking of PA politics. . .
Who thinks Ed Rendell is presidential? He's a straight shooter, he knows the issues and can explain them in a way for anyone to understand, he's got charisma and charm and as likable as a Clinton or Edwards. He's got that 'regular guy' quality. But even though FDR came from money, something about Ed's appeal reminds me of Roosevelt. I hope he runs someday, I have a feeling . . .

13. You're not the only one. And I'm in California.
But it would be LOVELY to see that smarmy little shit sent back to the little league. No insults meant to Little Leaguers everywhere.
