Poll question: Should Michael Jordan campaign for Obama?
I know that he's backing Obama heavily, and he'd be a great way to cancel out the sports fan effect of Ditka. The only problem I have is that while Jordan may be a far better human being than Ditka, he still isn't exactly a political expert or someone who's endorsement should be a big deal. But if the GOP wants to play this game, we can too.

I'm not too worried about Ditka too. After all the gaffes and outbursts he's made before it's not even sure if he's running, I can only imagine how much a of a disaster his campaign would be. And I doubt his borderline and outright sexist comments will go over well with the suburban soccer moms. The Obama campaign probably already has phone books full of material to use against him.

4. What are you implying by this?
Are you saying that MJ is not a decent human being?

6. Jordan is a good guy
he did a lot of charitable work and was one of the better sports role models.

Ditka on the other hand is a mysoginistic, drunk driving, short tempered overall asshole.

5. Jordan is not a political expert,
but what is Ditka? Think about it. Plus Jordan is a good guy, not disliked by too many people. I hope he does campaign for him!

7. Umm, most people aren't political experts
Doesn't mean that they can't have opinions and campaign for others.

9. FYI... Jordan's extramarital history is not so good...
he had at least 1 illigitimate child with his longtime girlfriend (while married)... then tried to pay her to shut up about it.

10. that's nothing compared to what we currently KNOW about Ditka
I'm sure there's loads and loads of more skeletons he has stashed away. From what I've heard so far he makes Ryan look like a saint.

11. Methinks MJ is working strictly as a private US citizen
who wants to help Obama win. Just like hundreds/thousands of other campaign volunteers with less-famous names. Nothing wrong with that. It's his right as an American citizen.
