Can you spare 50¢ for a spin?
I'm working on the campaign of a State House challenger and we need to get an impressive "count" of contributors.

I'd ask for 1¢ but CC fees run about 35¢.

If you are a U.S. Citizen, then help us be able to say we have received over 50 contributions in July..

We have a few hundred from a couple people; we're ramping up the spin to get money from groups you have to prove your viability to. If you've been in this situation before, you know how it is. You have to raise money to, well, raise money.

Thanks for the quarters! (Of course if you've maxed out to Kerry, we're OK with any leftovers you might have ;) )

(PayPal - Please add in the employer/occupation fields even though it's a tiny amount and we'll report these, even though we're not required to. A big list when filing is also a good thing.)

I hope I don't run afoul of the fundraising rules, as I'm not really asking for much more than being willing to sign a petition in a way.

2. Thanks to the people who have pitched in so far!
SERIOUSLY - 50¢ HELPS

Maxed out to Kerry?

Cleaning out the seat cushions?

You can feel as good as when you gave $50 to your candidate by slipping 1% of that to us!

We're up to four people now and over $20.

People are averaging $5..

We have until monday to get an impressive number of contributions..

Here's one story:

http://ydr.com/story/local/32786/
"In seeking his seventh term in office, state Rep. Stephen Maitland, R-Gettysburg, said he was hoping this would finally be the year he could run unopposed for his 91st District House seat."

GUESS WHAT - here's our response
"Alan Henry said he was expecting to be running for an open seat. Henry was referring to a quote by Rep. Maitland in the February 27th, 1992 edition of the Hanover Evening Sun in which Maitland said, "I will not serve in the state house for longer than 12 years." Maitland's campaign literature of the time also claimed that, "Maitland is not, and will not be, a professional politician. Steve is for limiting State Representative's terms to no more than twelve years." In seeking his seventh term, he would be serving 14 years, breaking a promise to residents of the 91st district.

"I took Rep. Maitland to be a man of his word. So, you could imagine that I was surprised to hear that he would be seeking a seventh term," Henry said. "I agree with term limits for all elected officials. I don't promise, I guarantee that I will not seek more than six terms." "
