I Had NO IDEA Tucker Carlson Was a Democrat!
But he obviously is... he's SOOOO concerned with John Kerry's supposed "bigotry" by opposing gay marriage, and he's such a HUGE champion for women's and minorities' rights -- complaining that no woman or minorities were chosen as VP, and that Hillary isn't speaking at the convention.

Wow, what a guy. And they said he was on the "right".

12. "Tucker? What kind of a name is that?" - - Gore Vidal

Little turd Tucker kept calling substitute co-host Al Franken "Al Sharpton" over and over, way back when.

Such class.

EDIT: tippo and stile.

16. I read his entire career was based on connections.

Several years ago the Washington Post did a profile of Tucker Carlson. I seem to recall that he went to an elite prep school but was an indifferent student. He did, however, manage to "marry well" (i.e., gain entry into the right circles). I'll have to see if I can find the profile.

I'm not certain I could name a single boot-strapper among what counts for conservative pundits in this country. Most seem to have clerked for people like Clarence Thomas, committed felonies or other misdeeds in the service of GOP administrations, been sired by or mated with the appropriate GOP figures, etc. I hope I'm wrong, but I doubt it.

4. Seriusly, I read that he was just playing a conservative for the money.
In the 2000 primaries he was a McCain supporter, too, which makes him a Repub Lite, IMO.

5. Considering His Interview With Bush
It doesn't surprise me that he was a McCain supporter.

It SHOULD surprise me is that he shills for him now, but it doesn't because I know he's a worthless twerp.

6. Sheeeit, McCain is most DEFINITELY a Conservative
Don't let the neocons and dittoheads pervert that word as they've done to words like Liberal or Feminist.

17. Wait, it gets better.
A recent Washington Post column -- I think it was the TV reporter Lisa Moraes (sp) -- mentioned that Pat Mitchell claimed Tucker Carlson got his own show because Mitchell didn't want Carlson to be LIMITED in his opportunities. The reporter openly confronted Mitchell with the fact that Carlson has oodles of active opportunities, thank you very much, including print and television. AND Carlson's father used to be some mucky-muck in public broadcasting, though I forget the exact position.

15. He's definetly not a democrat, but he's more a libertarian than a believer
in the Limbaugh/Gillespie republican movement daily issue-position machine.

And his job is to argue for the GOP/Right position on crossfire. He often shows his hypocracy though and he probably truely believes that he isn't a partisan hack at all, even though he clearly is.

19. Rep. Gregory Meeks smoked Tucker like a cheap f@cking cigar
on Crossfire this afternoon. Meeks is an excellent spokesman for the Dems and for Kerry/Edwards. Carville was fired-up too!

Tucker sounded like a fucking idiot.
