Does anyone else want to spit nails when...
they see that stupid Shrub commercial that states "John Kerry voted against the Lacy Peterson act that protects pregnant women" as if that legislation puts the pregnant woman in a big plastic bubble that prevents her from harm. All the damn thing does is allow for the courts to charge someone with harming a fetus...AFTER THE FACT!!!! (The whole law is another matter) but I still cant figure out how a law that does that will prevent further crime

1. There are some benefits to living in a state written off by both
candidates! You've just pointed out one of them! :D

8. Yeah.
But, I am glad that Kerry is campaigning in Colorado. That and Kerry is also only 5% below Bush here. But that Bush commercial is infuriating. At least all Kerry and Edwards are doing is talking about what they have to offer instead of attacking Bush and there is so much to attack him on.

10. I'm hoping Colorado is still a possibility!
But I'm afraid Texas is out of reach for Kerry! :(

2. Does anyone actually KNOW another real-live person that is following
the Laci Peterson saga? I sure don't.

3. It's on our news all the time
Of course, we live nearby where it happened. I swear, Scott has died his hair a different color. How can he do that in prison?

5. Yes, I know it's on the news all the time.
but do you know anyone who actually TALKS about it? follows it like a drug? like they did with the OJ story? 'cause that's how much coverage its getting and yet I don't know a SOUL who discusses this.

4. yes I do
This type of law is a matter for states. The feds are too much in our business. Don't most states have a law like this anyway?

11. I think it's a way for the right-wing to make abortions
against the law, because that's harming a fetus also. They be sneaky little critters.

6. Yes, I hate that commercial
It's blatantly misleading.

I think the unspoken subtext is abortion.

9. John Kerry Hates Pregnant Women
He wants them to get attacked. Didn't you know?

Just like he hates our troops and didn't want them to have any body armor.

I don't know what's worse: the fact that the Bush/Cheney campaign thinks that voters are dumb enough to believe the bullshit that they're spewing... or the fact that they are.
