Anyone want to open a BushCo* 'Hell House" this Halloween?
It could be a fun, easy way to raise funds for your favorite liberal causes.

All you need to do is rent or otherwise secure a place for the last two weeks of October. Set up a number of exhibits that display the realities of 'compassionate conservatism' and living under the Bush* regime. Charge admission or ask for a 'suggested donation' at the door to help offset costs and donate the profits to your favorite organization. :)

Think of how much fun you can have designing the 'Back Alley Abortion' room and the 'Shock & Awe Survivors' scene. What kind of 'Terrorist Torture Chamber' would you come up with? What other rooms/scenes would you include?

Could this be our own October surprise? Open a couple of hundred 'BushCo* House of Horrors Hell Houses' around the country two weeks before the election?

What do ya' think?

1. A great idea....
Cheney visits my hometown often enough (for talks with the oil fatcats) that he would probably be around for us to borrow.

Hmmm... how about a blindfolded dip into a bowl of overcooked broccoli soaked in vodka, telling the unfortunate victim that he's received the rare privilege of examining Bush's brain, first-hand. :P

6. GOD I love it! (Bobbing for Bushes Brain)
I have nightmarish visions of a group of peace protesters holding peace signs (old women, young families with babies and such) being beaten, gassed and shot with bean bags and rubber bullets by riot gear laden members of the DHS. :scared:

9. You could just have someone in police uniform...
... grab everyone with an anti-Bush shirt or hat on, drag `em away and lock them up in a cell and tell them that they can forget about a lawyer--they're now suspects in the war on terrorism....

2. Interesting idea
Especially effective if you could set it up near one of the fundie hell houses.

Other rooms:

* the amputee ward at Walter Reed, beds and beds of soldiers missing limbs

* the Bill Frist animal shelter (got to pull the kiddies in)

* the elderly woman dead at home because she couldn't afford her medication

* a hall of mirrors with John Ashcroft looking at you from all directions

* a diorama of the people our allies like Pakistan and Azerbaijan have killed, including the dissident who was boiled alive

10. And really easy to do!
Sheets of Plexiglas with a cheap reflective sun screen applied to them would work well and be easy to bend into shape for the mirrors. You would see your reflection when front lit but if you simultaneously lower the room light and turn on lights behind the mirrors, the viewer would see Johnny Justice and Sneering Dick watching them. :(

12. Sorry 'bout that
Why don't you think of John Ashcroft singing "The Eagle Soars" or whatever the hell he was crowing in F9/11.

14. Do you remember when masks were simply paper or
cardboard cut outs, that you tied string or a rubber band to for purposes of keeping it on your head?

I have one of ashwipe that was given out at a seminar last halloween. Just cut out his face and the eyes and mouth, attach the rubber band and presto magic, the most hideous monster you have ever seen.

It is a hoot. Wish I could down load it and share it with all here.

3. No, but I went to a party with a Bush pinata . . .
Oh the fun we had bashing the bush!

Love this idea even more, since Halloween is my FAVE holiday.

13. I've seen those
But thus far my favorite has been the Bush dog tuggie toy -- if it were less expensive I'd send it for my parents' pit bull girl, who loves to chew.

4. Don't forget the protestors' cage, complete with handcuffs
and someone reading them their rights while they continue to assert their 1st amendment rights.

8. What about the water board, is that what they call it?
The dunking board - like what they used during the Salem Witches Trials.

.....

Just think of all the things the administration wouldn't want brought up just before the election. :)

The press could be great!
