55. "Art Therapy" That's the reason this smells like BS. |
|
Barbara studied Humanities, not Art Therapy. That requires a four year degree, and most often, a masters. Jenna has an English degree and no teaching certificate. So these two are volunteering for a while, which is nice, but they are not like people who actually want to work in a humanitarian field. It's obvious spin.

I'm sure that when they blow out the candles on their birthday cake, they both wish for world peace. Too cliche for words. If they were sincere, they would ask their Dad to help inner-city school teachers and tell him to fund the AIDS programs that he always talks about, but never gets around to paying for.

The funny thing is, these gals might actually might have to DO that, for a short time anyway
(probably go AWOL, like Father, like daughters)
Of course, we've seen the Party-Loyal Bushevik Sub-Media and Corporate TV Pravda easily deflect and ignore stories much more inflammatory and newsworthy than that.
That's the perk of being in the Imperial family. Say one thing, demonstrably do another, proceed without conscience as if you haven't done anything wrong or lied. You're ROYALTY, for God's Sakes.
So, it is VERY possible that these girls won't have to spend a DAY in Harlem. Three months, at most.

then barb say she wants to help AIDS kids??? Please... you can't want those as your goals then agree to partake in a campaign that would do the opposite - why not just not do the campaign thing if you really gave a crap about those issues?

It doesn't change my opinion of her father. And I don't think it's relevant to ridicule Jenna. Maybe she sincerely does want to teach. How should I know? Do I personally know her? Of course not.
My quarrels are with her father and grandfather. Not Jenna or Barbara Jr. or Laura. Let them be who they wanna be. I don't know them and I don't care.

When did she get this need to wallow amongst the proles ???? Apparantly not anytime before meetins with her guidance counciling.
At the very least it's good to see the father/daughter bonding going on. George has taught a very important lesson in political life ... LIE like a motherfucker about what you're going to do. Tell the proles whatever will make you seem better in their eyes.
Next thing you know, Jenna will be talkin' just like Ellie May while toting some minority children around in lieu of 'critters'.

|
Just being in the environment, talking to people, seeing the problems, the poverty, the simple joys, and all the other issues inner-city communities that Harlem has to offer, I find it hard that even a hard-core repug would not shift left in their thinking. There is hope for Bush's offspring, just like there was hope for Ron Reagan Jr. if they can just expose themselves to some more diverse cultures and viewpoints than they're parents ever were.
