What a definite appeal. Living in the south, we need optimism and courage.It's waaay overdue. THIS (and I mean his courage and optimistism) is what the south NEEDS to help encourage less oppression.

8. It's no joking matter

when I think of someone who can impress the black vote in south. I've lived here all my life and before today I had not heard about Obama, in fact, I did some research on him to make sure he really exhisted. Sad isn't it? The south is HUNGRY for black leadership. I am so sick of living amongst white, bigoted men who have no idea what their bigotry does to keep the blacks oppressed here--or maybe they do. It's sad when I go to my gym and I hear how the DEMOCRATS have kept the blacks living in poverty because of welfare, when they(GOP) know all too well they are the reason it started in the first place. I'm sick of the south getting a bad rap, when we fight everyday to be known that we are productive and add to this great nation other than, welfare.

by the way, I'm caucasion. We NEED change and isn't gonna happen with the NAACP alone. WE are ALL in this TOGETHER.
