it's a shame they have such low ratings now, because I suspect if most voters got to see him speak, * might as well pack up and go back to Crawford based on what I've seen from him so far. Frankly, I'd have no problem with him replacing Daschle even before he even served a full term! This guy is the best thing to happen to us in a LONG time, and once he's in, Illinois will have the best senatorial combo in the country, which for two short years was held by us in Minnesota, sadly half of our delegation now consists of a sock puppet for Bush.

I also bet the GOP are kicking themselves now for forcing Fitzgerald out, he would've likely lost but at least they would spared the huge embarassment they are suffering now!

I heard Ditka was not going to run. I was very impressed with Obama.
