Yes, even paranoids have enemies. But, nothing can cloud the thought processes like fear. "Possible seven nuclear suitcase bombs" says FOX-TV. "Bedlam at the polls"? They will target the west coast. Let us not lose our ability to reason while everyone around us are losing their minds. What will they do to steal the election? Will they cancel the elections? What is their plan??

No, we should not minimize the threat before this nation. It is not the terrorists in Iraq that threaten us. It is the right-wing terrorists in this country with their lies and deceit. No, they cannot be trusted. Yes, they did show to what extent they would go to in 2000 to steal an election. So the distrust is real.

However, we must maintain rationality in this time. We cannot slip into the chasm of fear and paranoia. It is important that we keep our focus and remember that eternal vigilance is the price of liberty. We must remain vigilant but not afraid.

People should ask themselves "what can I DO?" If you've taken all the steps that you personally can, then there is NOTHING you can do and letting fear and worry eat you up is pointless and unhealthy.
