Washington, DC, Jun. 24 (UPI) -- President Bush met Thursday with the U.S. attorney in charge of the investigation into the leaking of former CIA agent Valerie Plame's identity.

White House Press Secretary Scott McLellan told reporters the president spoke with U.S. Attorney Pat Fitzgerald for about an hour and 10 minutes in the Oval Office. McLellan categorized the meeting as an "interview" and said the president was not under oath.

Present at the meeting were the president, Fitzgerald and his staff and the president's personal lawyer, Jim Sharp, McLellan said.
