Dick Durbin
Robert C. Byrd
Bob Graham
Jay Rockefeller
Russ Feingold
Debbie Stabenow and Carl Levin (my senators)

I think of your two Maine Senators and Chaffee in R.I. as fine, independent voices in the Senate.

Then, I realize that they help create the Republican Majority, which gives them control of the committees and scheduling. Does the Bad outweigh the Good?

I'm glad that Spencer Abraham doesn't represent us any longer as senator, but it's a crying shame that he is Secretary of Energy. If it were left up to him, Alaska would be just one huge oil field.
