Who's the next Illinois GOP hopeful after Ditka, Nugent? Place your bets!
Edited on Thu Jul-15-04 05:37 PM by lib71
I say this will be the next name....native Chicagoan, good family man, long-standing Republican, active in his community (REALLY active).

aka JW Gacy

There is, of course, the small problem of resurrecting his evil ass.

6. I just read over at Atrios that 30 days prior to his physical Nugent
stopped bathing and existed on nothing but vienna sausages and Pepsi.
He filled his drawers for days with excrement and urine prior to the exam. But he does say that he would have killed or been killed if he had gone to Vietnam. Right.

11. The source was Chickenhawk from the Detroit Free Press which noted
that the story has never been refuted. I'm not arguing that it isn't an urban myth, the story may be just that but apparently there are those who don't agree.

Are you refering to Shermer, Illinois? There IS NO Shermer in Illinois!

You are correct. It is Breakfast Club. I had the wrong John Hughes film, there. But I knew Shermer Illinois was fictional!

9. Hillary Clinton!
Yeah, I know it's not possible for her to be the "Democratic" senator from NY and the Repuke senator from Illinois at the same time, but since the Freepers want her to run for office so goddamn bad, might as well write her in.

18. Popeye or Superman
Edited on Thu Jul-15-04 08:56 PM by AbbeyRoad
Popeye is from Chester and Superman is from Metropolis. (not that they'd accept the Republicans' offer)

If they want a tangible candidate, I suppose they could consider Ray Bradbury. He's been making some noise lately.
