presidential debates scheduled
WASHINGTON, July 15 (UPI) -- The Kerry-Edwards campaign said Thursday it had agreed to the schedule of three Bush-Kerry debates proposed by the Commission on Presidential Debates.

Under the commissions' proposal, President Bush and Sen. Kerry will debate three times, with the first coming at the University of Miami in Coral Gables, Fla., on Sept. 30, 2004.

That would be followed by an Oct. 8 debate at Washington University in St. Louis, Mo., and one at Arizona State University in Tempe, Ariz., on Oct 13.

The commission plans for one debate between Vice President Dick Cheney and Sen. John Edwards, D-N.C., on Oct. 5 on the campus of Case-Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio.

"These commission debates have become an important tradition in presidential campaigns and voters depend on them to help inform their choice," Kerry-Edwards Campaign Manager Mary Beth Cahill said.

The Bush-Cheney campaign has yet to agree to the commission's proposal.

1. Only One debate for Edwards to humiliate FUCheney?
Aww...Darn....I was hoping for atleast two...

It's going to be must watch TV....Edwards is going to decimate FUCheney...I think that Debate alone will win Ohio and the rest of the heartland for the Dems....

2. It should be quite a debate.
Cheney is an experienced political animal, dont underestimate his ability. It should be good to see how edwards attacks him and how Cheney responds.

3. that's a bad headline
" The Bush-Cheney campaign has yet to agree to the commission's proposal. "
means that at best, these debates are TENTATIVELY scheduled. If the BUshies don't agree to this proposed schedule, then it is pretty meaningless.

4. I'm looking forward to them.
Unfortunately I will be in flight during one of them, think I'll be able to catch it on the internet or will I have to tape it?
