This is my account of the RNC volunteer orientation session held today at Baruch College. I hope this information is useful and many, many people sign up to volunteer for the RNC, thus clogging up their system.

RNC Volunteer #23 Reportback from todays volunteer orientation
I just got back from an orientation session for volunteering at the Republican National Convention. It was a boring affair, for the most part, but full of useful information nonetheless. One thing to point out is that the Volunteer website at
https://jobs.quickhire.com/scripts/nyc2004.exe will only be online for the next two weeks. NOW is the time to fill out a form and attend a session.
So, the sessions are held at Baruch Colleges Vertical Building at One Bernard Baruch Way AKA East. 25th Street. You can enter on East 25th Street between Lexington and 3rd Avenue.
. Upon entering, you wait in a line outside the multi-purpose room in front of one of the silly Ed Koch/NYC Host Committee ads. After 10 minutes, I was let in and waited on another line where I was given a few pieces of paper. You enter another room, sit down to talk to a NYC Host Committee Volunteer. They look at your ID, scribble down some information and then you watch the boring Powerpoint presentation. There were about 100 people in the room for my session.
