Whats the DUMBEST LIE Falwell,Dobson,Robertson has spread?
About Gays, focus on the family, liberals, etc.I am trying to show some members at my Mom's church how dangerous these guys are.Oh, & in case you think I'm wasting my time,I'm not. These people label themselves Christians but DO NOT like Bush & many so called Christians today. One lady I've know my whole life is what I call old school Republican. She can not stand Hannity or Savage but thinks Dobson & Focus on the Family are okay.

I was amazed over the 4th of July when we got together how open minded these people were.Didn't agree with them on some issues, but they can't stand alot of the people we here at DU can't stand. They don't sound like Republican to me,they sound pretty closes to some DU's here. For example, they seem to be okay with Bill Clinton, but for some reason hate Hillary.Think Kerry is better than Bush. Are amused by Michael Moore(not threatened)Seem to like Bill O'Reilly but Not Michael Savage or Sean Hannity.

When it comes to religious leaders they seem more split. Most feel Pat Robertson can be extreme, but feels he's a decent guy. Most think Falwell is nuts but they All seem to like Dobson & his group Focus on the Family.Any info.you think they'd be interested in seeing?

Feminism is a socialist, anti-family, political movement that encourages women to leave their husbands, kill their children, practice witchcraft, destroy capitalism and become lesbians.

- Pat Robertson, 1992 Republican National Convention

5. That James Madison
The Father of our Constitution, or "Keep Jesus the hell out of this government" man, as the founding fathers probably called him, ever stated that the ten commandments were the basis of our system of laws in this country.

Sure, this from the man who hated the idea of a chaplain offering a prayer before each congressional session.

6. Then there's Falwell's infamous 9/11 Slander
"The abortionists have got to bear some burden for this because God will not be mocked. And when we destroy 40 million little innocent babies, we make God mad. I really believe that the pagans, and the abortionists, and the feminists, and the gays and the lesbians who are actively trying to make that an alternative lifestyle, the ACLU, People for the American Way, all of them who have tried to secularize America, I point the finger in their face and say: you helped this happen."

9. Pat Robertson quotes
What denomination is she? She might not like this:
"You say you're supposed to be nice to the Episcopalians and the Presbyterians and the Methodists and this, that, and the other thing. Nonsense. I don't have to be nice to the spirit of the Antichrist. I can love the people who hold false opinions but I don't have to be nice to them."--Pat Robertson, The 700 Club, January 14, 1991

"I am bound by the laws of the United States and all 50 states...I am not bound by any case or any court to which I myself am not a party...I don't think the Congress of the United States is subservient to the courts...They can ignore a Supreme Court ruling if they so choose."--Pat Robertson, Washington Post, June 27,1986)

And perhaps the dumbest of all: "Many of those people involved with Adolph Hitler were Satanists, many of them were homosexuals--the two things seem to go together."--Pat Robertson, "The 700 Club," 1/21/93

11. For Dobson, Google Gil Alexander-Moegerle
Edited on Fri Jul-16-04 11:09 AM by JHB
Gil Moegerle was a co-founder of Focus on the FAmily, and Dobson's on-air co-host for years, until there was a falling out, and Dobson went nuclear on him.

Dobson's network put out a lot of hateful gossip about Moegerle over the years, making him sound like a no-good adulterous scoundel out to make a buck on Dobson's good name. Well, here's his web page these days, and it doesn't even mention Dobson, nor does it huckster for anything but Christian spirit in its best sense. Let those church members take a look here and figure for themselves what kind of man Moegerle is, and let that speak for the veracity of what he had to say about Dobson.
