Terry Gross on NPR yesterday.
I caught part of the interview. I think the guest was the one who came up with the line used against Howard Dean in Iowa." He is another Volvo driving, latte drinking, east coast liberal".Terry corrected him pretty well I thought. She said what is wrong with driving A Volvo? They are a good car. They do best in crash tests, There are a lot of more expensive cars. Lexus, etc.And what is wrong with paying $1.00 for a latte in comparison with a conservative spending his millions on what ever he wants?

1. The guy was one of the major exponents
of the do away with Social Security & Medicare, let everybody take care of themselves guys. He sounded like an idiot savant libertarian/RW kind of guy who knows he has simple answers to giant social problems. The trouble is that clowns like this get an influential voice in decision making.

5. No, Stephen Moore of the "Club for Growth"
I doubt he personally came up with that tv commercial, though his group funded the ad.

If Stephen Moore said he wrote the ad, then correct me.

3. Perception is everything
and policy means nothing-how can you otherwise explain a war (good God a war!) fought for no logical reason-a tax plan that cuts taxes and drastically increases spending with a growing budget debt-the public likes George Bush because he appears to be one of them-even though he is screwing them to the wall-the American people today would kill Jefferson, Franklin and Adams as traitors and would remain a monarchy-that is how bad it is
