2. I agree
Though, who knows, by 2012 we could all have a totally different opinion of Hillary by then, for better or worse.

3. Russ Feingold
He has done so much good for Wisconsin and by 2012 we "may be" ready to share this treasure with the country.

5. After completing two terms, Vice President Edwards
Will be the heir apparent in 2012. Rounding out the ticket will be Illinois junior senator Barack Obama.

7. Howard Dean? :P
Never lose hope! :P

I have to agree about the whole Clinton thing. Nothing against her personally, but I don't want her to run simply because I am sick and tired of hearing her name brought up. I mean just the thought of her running makes the right begin to froth at the mouth.

Although hopefully Kerry and Edwards will do better than expected once they take the White House, our country will begin to heal from the scars of George W. Bush, and Edwards will be so highly regarded after 8 years of a Kerry Presidency that he'll smoothly take the Presidency in 2012, then again in 2016, and then Howard Dean in 2020. :P (Never lose Hope. :P)

8. I'll throw Howard Dean's name into the hat
Provided he remains visible.

Of course, if Kerry is elected and serves two terms, Edwards would become the guy. But I can see people eight years from now being a little more receptive to Dean, and Dean having mellowed a bit. Both guys will still be fairly young. And if Kerry and Edwards are successful, perhaps it will do for liberalism what Reagan did for the conservative movement.

Another guy that I could see is Russ Feingold.

11. if Dean mellowed
what would be the point?

Isn't he attractive, specifically because he's NOT mellow?

13. Attractive to some...
...but he might rub others the wrong way.

All the grassroots support in the world didn't help much in the primaries. I think Howard scared some people.

In short, he didn't play in Peoria.
