Due to a glut of patients and a shortage of funds, VA officials have ordered its hospitals and clinics to cease efforts to enroll new patients into its health care system.

"I am directing each network director to ensure that no marketing activities to enroll new veterans occur within your networks," according to a July 18 memo sent by VA undersecretary Laura Miller to Veterans Integrated Service Network (VISN) directors.

Also in the memo, health fairs, open houses or enrollment displays at veterans service organization meetings were deemed "inappropriate."

I guess if we just forget about them unless we stumble over one in an alley, they will go away. This is ridiculous. I am proud to annouce Veterans Radio Broadcast has picked up that little dittie about Bush being in Vietnam and broadcasting it to listeners.
Vets for Justice and our organization United Veterans of America as well as Veterans for Unifications are pushing it ! I SENT IT OUT !

Saying yeah...they will use you up, and throw you away...go ahead..Believe their lies......They are not even waiting for the uniform to be hung up to hang the troops and vets out to dry !.
More blood for oil and they don't even try to deny it. How could any veteran who knows the truth vote Bush....
We grassroots orgs. are getting the word out ! It is an uphill battle I assure you. I could spend post after post telling you nightmare stories ! How could a chickenhawk understand? Shame on McCain for siding with them !
