Living out here in the western nc boondocks, i have become very interested in making connections with other, like-minded people. Of course, I'm also very interested in getting people to vote against Bush.

If you have a chance, please check out this website. I think it's a great idea and I just joined. They (I guess, "we") are trying to recruit people from all over the country. There are local chapters in many cities, or you can start your own. Education on the issues and voter registration are MOB's top priorities.

both organizations are working hard on letter writing campaigns across the country to women in the battleground states. Another project I'm working on with a girlfriend that we founded here locally in the Bay Area is 1000 Flowers http://www.1000flowers.org

1000 Flowers was also just featured in the Time Magazine featuring Michael Moore. We are focusing on the 22 million unregistered women that didn't vote in the 2000 election. We are working on putting "Beauty Kits" together with nail files and voter registration info that says "Don't let this election be a nailbiter" and "Nail the Vote"...We are working on getting Beauty Salons and Manicurists to work in promoting this campaign for getting out women's votes...

Anyway, check these organizations out and get the word out to get other women (and men) involved in these efforts...

Women are going to be the real "Swing Vote" in this election....
