How I KNOW polls are TOTAL BS
7% of people think that Dick Cheney is a LIBERAL!

Think about that -- we all know 100 people. Do you know ANY who would call Cheney LIBERAL? No, you don't.

And if you do -- RUN!!

2. If people are THAT uninformed, there's something SERIOUSLY wrong with them
Is there a city full of uniformed neo-nazis somewhere? I know people who like bush for no reason and don't read a newspaper to save their lives, but NOT ONE of them would call Cheney liberal.

Who the fuck are these people??

3. ...
I think it just depends on where you are on the political spectrum. I'm sure there is a small number of Americans out there who are so far out on the right-wing fring they see Cheney as a liberal, just as there are probably some here who would see Edwards as a conservative.

4. Maybe his stated stance on gay marriage from 2000?
Basically, "up to the states". Government hands-off.

I know that's politically ambiguous, but it wasn't the clear repudiation of homosexuality in every way, shape & form that conservatives want to hear, ergo he's a liberal. Or something.
