I'd say either DNC chairmen or somewhere else that he can change policy for the better. there's no doubt he would help round out the dems.

2. Was Another Dean Thread Really Necessary????
You make it sound as if it was Dean's destiny to be president, but was denied it.

4. i'm not alone in that opinion.
and the thread isnt necessary, but i would like to think that he isnt going away forever, and that kerry will repay the energy he has given back to the party.

7. Give Dean Credit
I think he energized a lot of young Dems and other voters.

But is this wistful thinking? I remember the line the pundits seemed to love "dated Dean, married Kerry" Once married, is there a place in your life for "the one that got away"? (wasn't there a movie about this with Kathleen Turner and Nicholas Cage?)

Dean spoke to our anger, and told us we have a right to be angry.
Kerry/Edwards speaks to our hope.

On the other hand, if we lose this fall (nightmare) Dean will become more important than ever, whereas Kerry and Edwards could be marginalized.

14. Taxi driver asks a legitimate question as opposed to the other
thread. These are very real questions, that are worth looking at. There is a place for both as prominent figures in party policies. They have brought a lot of energy to the party, and should hold respectable positions, to help keep this energy alive. We need progressive and innovative thinkers to help undue all that the Neocons have destroyed. It is going to take some very creative thinking to piece this country back together. As much as I respect Kerry and Edwards, they are going to have their hands full and will need special talent to help do it. This is a thread that is asking how can we be a part of the solution, not a part of the problem!

I think DNC chair would fit better, though. It would be the best place for him to help change the party, from the inside out.

DNC, Health and Human services, ATTY General and Secretary of Education. There is a lot to be fixed and those are all areas I trust him to get right. I'd like to see him in charge of all of them.

31. LOLOL
You never fail to spew a bunch of vitreol in any post about Dean. I'm just calling your crap, sport. It's VERY clear that you're glad Dean lost. You never miss an opportunity to tell people to "get over it" even though most of us already have. What I can't "get over" is your incessant sniping.

32. You're mistaken
I miss hundreds of opportunities to say it.

The Original Poster here had JUST started another thread asking if we could go back in time, would we choose Dean. When the Deaniacs go off on their crazed missions to attack Kerry for not being Dean, I DO get involved. And I tell people to get over it because we have a very important task to accomplish: winning in November!

I also don't tell people they're assholes, and I don't tell them to shut the fuck up, as your side continually does to me and others who didn't support Dean.

Anyway, get over it.

33. No need to attack Kerry for not being dean.
Neither of them is the perfect candidate. Anybody who doesn't realize that is a fool. Of course the perfect candidate would never run for president, so....

I can almost always count on you to pop your head into a +Dean thread to snipe, though.
