Is Al Gore scheduled to speak at Dem Convention ?
If so, has he been advised to tone it down? No one has been as outspoken as Al Gore in the last year. People say he should have been that way during his campaign. I think he was but his message was being blunted by the media and many people, even his supporters, did not notice. Yes, he probably made a mistake not asking for a recount of the entire state? But if he had, the Repubs would not have agreed to it. They only agreed with the 4-county re-count because they knew they could steal and garner more votes themselves, mostly from the military votes, was my opinion at the time, and I still believe it.

1. It's been a while since I looked at the rules
...but wasn't a FULL recount of the entire state a codified provision of FLA state law in an election that close?

The GOP not 'agreeing' shouldn't have been an issue.

2. Gore did request a statewide recount
He initially only asked for the selected counties recount because he was following Florida state law and there were problems in those counties with ballots and voting. The Florida Supreme Court did sanction a statewide recount and that is what the US Supreme Court struct down.

Gore was following the law on that Recount process. The law failed Gore and voters because those that interpreted the law were in Bush's pockets.

5. Gore specifically requested a statewide recount

don't believe the lies and distortions to the contrary. In fact, wasn't that what they were doing on that Black Saturday that Scalia stopped the recount?

And, BTW, I hope, if Al does speak, he gives one of the most hell, fire and brimstone speeches he's ever given.
