The Hersh and Fisk stories were pretty alarming. The American people just are not being told what is going on in Iraq and guess most don't really care. But if this stuff were happening under Clinton this country would be in flames by now not to mention an impeachment that would stick.

1. Robert Fisk On Sovereignty, Martial Law, and Continuing Violenc
Well, one thing that is happening on the ground is that the reporting of Iraq has reached a point where hardly any journalists leave Baghdad and some of them don't even leave their hotels. One of the reasons why the Bush administration is getting away with so much at the moment is that the degree of anarchy, the sheer size of the area of Iraq outside government or American control is being hidden from ordinary people. For example, in the town of Baquba, there are now hundreds of armed men. In Ramadi and Fallujah, they're virtually people's republics in which even the Americans cannot move freely. We do not realize, though we should, the degree to which the country of Iraq is outside the control of the new American-established government of Ayad Allawi.

Saw it. I think the world is on a different planet than Iraq. From his interview it seems like no one knows what the heck is happening.

2. I heard it, as I do everyday.
The ignorance of (most) Americans regarding the war is truly shocking and disheartening.

I enjoyed her interview with the "Outfoxed" movie guy... immediately after hearing her interview I went to his web site and ordered his video! :)

4. the show is always good but today was especillay
Robert Fisk always tells it like it is.

It is so unfortunate that Americans don't have a clue but the media is going to make sure it stays that way.

5. yeah
I am unsure how this is going to play out. At some point I think the truth will leak out, but it might be too late... It would be nice if we, like the people of Iraq, were allowed to try our dictator ourselves. Unfortunately I fear that the BFEE will be tried in the world court, after disaster has set in on our soil.

9. I could only venture to say
Fisk is not really pro-American. I don't think that makes him anti-American. He is very critical of American policies, that is for sure!
