Martha lies once about a stock transaction = 5 months
Edited on Fri Jul-16-04 06:59 PM by DoYouEverWonder
W lies about the reasons for sending US troops to war = still running for reselection.

This is ridiculous. W lied to Congress, to the UN and to the American people and so far over 1000 troops have lost their lives because of his lies. Where's the punishment?

edit - oops

1. It is ridiculous
but Martha got 5 months, not 5 years.

3. 5 MONTHS...not years.
It was pretty lenient for the most part. She was facing 16 months.

4. I agree!
She only got a $30,000 fine, the five months in prison, the five months house arrest(in the home of her choosing), and probation. I also heard them say that it may be awhile before she actually starts serving.

6. correct...
she's free pending her appeal. If she gets another trial, it could be a long time, if ever, before she has to serve it.
