We are living in an oligarchy NOT a democracy.
Thank you Bill Moyers for pointing out that we are in danger of our democracy becoming an oligarchy. However, I'm afraid that we are already there.

Oligarchy
Oligarchy is a form of government where most political power effectively rests with a small segment of society (typically the most powerful, whether by wealth, military strength, ruthlessness, or political influence). The word oligarchy is from the Greek for "few" and "rule".
Oligarchies are often controlled by a few powerful families whose children are raised and mentored to become inheritors of the power of the oligarchy, often at some sort of expense to those governed.

1. He just figured that out? I come from a country what that is the form
of "government"... and this country has been going into that type of social structure for some time. Bush is just giving it a giant push... (Hey, that kind of rhymes: The push by bush.

4. Shhhhhhhh! People might notice.
And, some might be troubled by it. They might even start to think that oil companies and arms manufacturers don't really have our best interests at heart. And, then they might notice that capitalism really doesn't work - except for the few. Then they might ask why the "richest country in the world" can't afford health care, or a decent eductation for it's citizens. They might even begin to question why we have troops around the globe protecting our "vital interests" and what those "vital interests" really are.

Best to keep it quiet and keep telling them that this is really a democracy where every vote counts.
