Cheney: Leahy "tried to put his arm around me"
Edited on Sat Jul-17-04 06:11 AM by shockingelk
It wasn't just the aspersions cast on his integrity that caused Vice President Dick Cheney to curse Sen. Patrick J. Leahy last month on the Senate floor, Mr. Cheney told a C-SPAN interviewer this week.
"Well, my set-to with Senator Leahy was, I'd say it was a private moment. The Senate wasn't in session. We were waiting to take our picture, but he had challenged my integrity. And I didn't like that," Mr. Cheney told Steve Scully in an interview to be aired Sunday night. "But what I really didn't like was after he had done so, then he came over — and he had done that in a public forum — and then he came over on the Senate and tried to put his arm around me and treat me as though I was his best long-lost friend. And I didn't appreciate it. And I spoke rather forcefully of what I thought about his action, and then walked off."

OK, so Leahy tries to make nice and Cheney's reaction is to get defensive without provocation about Halliburton? What a sociable guy! I want him at MY parties! Or is this after the barbs and his response was "FU".

Amazing that Leahy would offer a gesture of friendliness to the man he must suspect authorized the anthrax attack on his office.

4. Need a heart to cry !
I doubt his reaction to anything that he dont like is to cry ,more his reaction is to have the same hard look thats permanent on his face .He is totally devoid of any emotion that most people feel, Iam sure his anger goes directly to hate and bypasses any sign of inner thought, at least any adult thoughts of humbling one self ,and trying to understand to other sides veiw !

5. Ah, his blatant homophobia and
fear and loathing by being touched by a man comes out at last. Any self-righteous war-mongering, thief and briber who wears his christian beliefs on his sleeve, but only when convenient, and it doesn't clash with his Halliburton Tux, would obviously be petrified with disgust at being hugged by another man.

11. but it's OK to have a flaming lesbian for a daughter
if you can strong-arm her into supporting your amendment to deny her rights. You'd think he'd have compassion for at least his own family, but no.

Now, if John McCain had done something to take away the rights of his brown-skinned daughter, it would be more clear how horrible it is. (He did no such thing, but he does have an adopted daughter from Bangladesh)

why didn't he kick that bag o'shit's fat ass. You can't let people tell you to 'go fuck yourself' and not fix their wagon.

It was inane when they went after Kerry for saying 'fuck' in the Rolling Stone interview. It's no less inane to go after Cheney for this.

The guy is a fucking war criminal...I would be highly disappointed if he DIDN'T throw around the f-bomb.

"war criminal" title and they will accept the "potty mouth" title. Let him keep pulling down the bush.

Or the picture that many say is Crazy Horse? I just learned about him and visited the Crazy Horse Memorial in South Dakota and was moved to tears. I am fascinated by his story.

Oh, so breaking a century of tradition in the well of the Senate by openly cursing another Senator to his FACE.

Well, let's just get back to the "caning of Sumner", Cheney?

Edited on Sat Jul-17-04 10:02 AM by DoYouEverWonder
and whatever else Cheney's drug addict MD gave him. But one major side effect from long term usage of heart meds is that it makes you crazy and irrational.

Cheney is a sick, sick man. He is no longer competent enough to do his job. He really should resign. He needs to put his own lust for power aside, and do what is best for the country.

23. Democrats are all gay?
Is that what they're going to try this year? Democrats are all touchy, feely, homos who are too soft to go after the terrorists like the dick swinging Republicans?

Gawd, when I think I can hate them as much as is humanly possible, they manage to do something to make me hate them even more.

24. hahahahaha; they really should watch what they say on this
doesn't he remember this little exchange:

NEW YORK, Nov. 12 /PRNewswire/ -- By the time the South Carolina primary
came around, the Republican candidates had launched nasty campaigns and
loathed each other. When the two men assembled for a group photo, Texas
Governor George W. Bush went over to Arizona Senator John McCain in his full
I-love-ya-man mode, seizing both of McCain's hands in his own, one source
tells Newsweek in the special election issue.

"Let's not let this get
personal, John," he said. "We've got to start running a better campaign."
McCain looked at Bush. "Don't give me that s--t," he growled, "and take your
hands off of me," according to an exclusive report in Newsweek's special
election issue.

love this stuff

28. Whether it's true or not that little story will backfire on him
I know from experience.

I once worked with a teacher who was HELL on WHEELS. A real bee-otch. Ug. I used to drive home just SCREAMING cuss words in my car about her she was so horrible--to other teachers, to the kids, etc.

So one day during a faculty meeting, she was looking really super tired, she was about seven months pregnant and I went over and got her something to drink and some fruit on a plate (there were snacks obviously) and brought it over to her. Hey even bitches get tired and I've been seven months pregnant and teaching, it ain't fun.

Well, she just looked at the stuff I put in front of her like it was covered in donkey boogers and said loudly, "I don't WANT THAT FROM YOU!" I could hear gasps all around. The teacher sitting next to her looked at her and said "My GOD Carrie, she just brought you something to eat and drink!" I said "you looked tired and I thought you could use this" and walked away, leaving the stuff there.

Teachers all over the school told me over the next two days what a total bitch they thought she was and how nice I was to her to bring her something.

You don't tell someone to f*ck themselves when they try to make nice without other people thinking you look like an asshole.
