Is Kerry throwing a bone?
to the retarted 45% of the American population, so as not to appear 'soft' on Terror? Or is he Bush-lite, just another PNAC pig seeking world domination?

Associated Press Writer

WASHINGTON (AP) - Democratic presidential candidate John Kerry said Friday he would be willing to launch a pre-emptive strike against terrorists if he had adequate intelligence of a threat.

Kerry offered some support for one of the most controversial aspects of President Bush's national security policy, even as he criticized the president for not reforming intelligence agencies after the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks.

13. To use AP spin is also a bit dangerous
AP is not known to be fair to Democratic Party members or their ideas.

6. Right
and are we talking pre-emptive of terrorist cells or COUNTRIES?

12. What the weed that would be king & his band of rethugs did in Iraq
Edited on Sat Jul-17-04 12:34 PM by merh
was and is a war crime. He attacked, invaded and occupies a sovereign nation that did not attack or threaten to attack the U.S.

That's not pre-emptive or preventative, it is criminal and against the laws of our society, international laws and the laws of every God, including the one that supposedly told him it was his duty.

Retarded are the idiots who cannot read the substance of the materials they post and make the distinctions between * supposedly pre-emptive doctrine and Kerry saying "Am I prepared as president to go get them before they get us if we locate them and have the sufficient intelligence? You bet I am," -- Big Cheney Difference!

edited for obvious typos!

15. Oh please, another martyr.
Someone posts something that is a dupe by a factor of three or four and wasn't terribly interesting to begin with, someone else points that out, and suddenly we have a martyr, a veritable Joan of Arc being burned alive by the intolerant "KerrySheeple."

19. dupes are a waste of time
but worse are the ones responding to them. Apparently the KerrySheeple crowd doesn't like to be reminded that John Kerry, as far as pre-emptive strikes as concerned, is just as corrupt as the Chimperior.

28. Right, and Kerry's policy is dissimiliar to Bush*'s.
And the only reason you think otherwise is that you confuse pre-emptive and preventative warfare.

Basically you think if someone's pointing a gun at someone, the cops shouldn't shoot them until they kill someone first. That's not a responsible position.

17. ok
so I misspelled 'retarded.'

but I didn't accuse Kerry of anything. I was asking if he's throwing a bone to freeperland or he's indeed just another PNAC pig.

and if the AP story is distorted right-wing propaganda, why hasn't Kerry corrected it?

I hope he does set the record straight, because the left is sick of this preemptive or preventive sh*t. Kerry IS looking like Bush on the issue and that stinks!
